Why Buy Art?

Why buy art? Why buy a print or original painting from me?

Well… I want my art to be a little piece of inspiration. When you hang it in your home, I want you to have all the feels of your favourite places. Every time you see it, I want you to feel the peace and tranquility of being out in nature, I want you to hear the sounds of being on the water and your morning routine, before everyone else is up.

When I paint something I create a whole world with my brushes and paints. Painting a scene takes you to that place where you did your research, painted plein air on the spot and recorded not just the shapes and colours but the feelings you felt while you were there.

That is what I hope my work brings to you. Print or original oil, large or small, each painting is a combination of vibes and inspiration, my interpretation of the scene before me. Being out in nature inspires me to paint the beauty. Not just the scene as it appears, but an interpretation of the colours, the shapes and the whole vibe of the scene. My emotions are translated through the brush to the canvas to your eyes… and the peace of being in that moment.

I hope that my work beings you tranquility. I hope it brings you joy. The joy of returning to your favourite place every time you pass your painting. The tranquility of drinking in the vibes of the painting, of feeling my interpretation of the scene that shows more than just a representation but a story told with colour and light.
